Today, scientific and cultural exchanges between different societies play a fundamental role in scientific development and improving the quality of education and research in different countries.

The increasing growth of social communications worldwide has provided a suitable environment for international scientific cooperation between different countries. 

Establishing and strengthening scientific connections between Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman and reputable universities and educational and research institutions in different countries is considered one of the pillars of the university's progress and development and is pursued with seriousness at the university.

For this purpose, the International Scientific Cooperation Group, as one of the subordinate units of the Vice-Chancellor's Office for Research, is responsible for directing and planning the university's scientific activities at the international level.

Job Description

- Formulating policies and presenting relevant programs for scientific communications at the national and international levels with similar institutions inside and outside the country.

- Using the university's scientific potential in the international arena using various methods such as professor-student exchange, professors' study opportunities, participation of faculty members and students in international conferences, implementation of joint research projects at the international level, exchange of educational materials, sports and cultural exchanges of students at the international level, and admission of foreign students.

- Necessary studies to understand the status of universities and research and industrial centers in other countries in order to formulate cooperation programs with them in line with the university's internationalization policy.

- Preparing and drafting contracts, agreements, and memoranda of understanding with scientific centers inside and outside the country and following up on agreed matters.

- Following up on matters related to the university's active presence in scientific and international forums and networks.

- Introducing foreign courses and scholarships for the use of professors and students based on the relevant criteria.

- Planning and making relevant arrangements for official visits of university officials and officials abroad and inviting and arranging travel plans for experts from foreign delegations invited to the university.

- Inviting Iranian experts residing abroad to cooperate with the university and facilitating cooperation with them.

- Participating in improving the university's scientific rank at the international level.

- Participating in formulating and implementing the university's strategic plans for internationalizing the university.

- Liaising with the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation of the relevant ministry within the framework of implementing the ministry's general policies regarding scientific and international communications.

- Establishing coordination between faculties and other affiliated units regarding overseas activities.

- Consulting on launching and completing the university's website in foreign languages.
